THE DETACHMENT

now we were making a zombie film

the film and the sound work had grown

i was getting used to the whole process from the shoot to the final mix

i used ARVerb Room a lot for the scenes’ sense of space

later i told its developer what i’d done

we compared my choices with the thinking behind the tool

i felt more sure of them by the end

cherryjavelin took my portraits that year with a few nods to the film

some were black and white

an empty street like a city after everyone had gone

only some portraits followed the film

i wanted those little connections
