JASMINE began “Rocket” during her time at Berklee in 2018. The later collaboration with VORANAH gives its invitation to leave together a bossa nova setting. Piano and classical guitar join Isaac Kim’s bass. The flute solo comes from JASMINE’s mother and places a family voice inside the song’s imagined trip into space.

i suggested a space theme for the promotion

i was thinking of “space oddity” and major tom

she brought her mother to play flute

i recorded her at my studio
