loose leaves
our most ambitious film so far
there was a lot to do and a deadline to meet
we shot in a cold february i still enjoyed being on set
i hurt my pinky on the way to the table read
an actress remembered when we met on another project
she asked if my finger was okay
i spent a lot of hours on the sound
our director put a lot of himself into it
we went to the kanazawa film festival for the screening
after all that work hearing it in a cinema felt good
it was our second festival trip to japan
i’d find some regional nihonshu for us to drink together at night
we talked about all kinds of things mostly films
i also caught up with a friend in tokyo
